Well, I have been quite busy today. There have been several updates:

1. HTML is now allowed in messages. I knew I had missed somewhere off when I put it all in

2. the "Blog Management" page has received a minor redesign, which should make it a bit nicer to user.

3. "Quote Of The Day" has been added. It can be changed by going into the "Blog Management" page and clicking on "Other Options (Currently Reading and Quote Of The Day".

4. "Currently Reading" has been added. This is our stealthy way of adding adverts to mduk. Go buy stuff from Amazon. Now. Or Else. (You can change it in the same place as the Quote of the day.

5. Error pages are now themed, so they look nicer

Due to popular demand, I added a thing to the BB Codes script to change HTML into BB Code, so now you can use limited HTML on this site. If I were to allow too much, I could seriously break the page, as I may try to do soon on LiveJournal ...

Also, I have added a preview option to the adding blogs and comments things, so now you can see what it will look like before you post it. I will add a spell check to this soon, but first I need Renegade to find the one he made (no point coding a new one)

Customisable blogs will probably start being seriosuly tested soon.

Update - Ciber - 21:08: Avatars added next to posts and comments. To change, go to the Avatars page in Preferences.

Update - Ciber - 21:44: Spell checking has now been removed due to it being too buggy. Picking up words like "they", "about", etc does seem to me like it isnt working that well ... Also it was really slow, taking about 7 seconds to check something

Update - Renegade - 22:30: Oddly spell checking works on windows but not on this server. However it is also far too slow, and hence we have given up even trying to implement it, its fairly non essential anyway

Yes, if you read the admin blog, we now feature email blogging! That is you can submit the initial blog post to the site via email - It will basically work in the same way as normal posting in that bb codes etc are the same, but obviously you can post without direct access to the website.

Please only send emails in plain text or HTML (tags are stripped), do not use attachments etc. There is a delay of up to 15minutes for your post to appear as long as the server does not contain an excess of messages.

The answer to that question can be answered by going to the "Statistics" page and looking at the bottom. It is also on some themes at the side below the latest blogs.

You can also see when someone was last online by going to their profile page.
